From Ms. Livia Dumitrescu, Director of Corporate Affairs and Compliance, OMV Petrom In Bucharest, Romania, 2016
“Anu was retained to support the early stages of setting up a new organizational ombudsman office and also to continue to support its work, train the newly recruited team and take on the more complex or sensitive cases, if a visitor requested so. The company where the new office was established is OMV Petrom SA, the largest oil & gas company in South East Europe, with operations in Romania and four other countries in the region. This is the first organizational ombuds office to be established in Romania and it is still the only one, to my knowledge.
I know Anu’s work first-hand because I was the Project Manager during the concept and approval stages of the project to set up the new ombudsman office and once it was set up I became the first Director of the new ombudsman office.
The most amazing thing about Anu was that she joined the launch campaigns in the oil fields, trekking through in her OMV Petrom-branded equipment and that despite the language barrier, people were talking to her. They even signed up to meet her in large numbers, in particular during a listening session she did on one of the production areas. She has a real, palpable skill in helping people open up, no matter the language.
Anu took care of other aspects which are important at the launch of a new office, such as the training of the new ombuds team and contributing to the communication campaign with articles. Further down the road, she run open training sessions for people outside the ombuds team and proposed ways to report and assess the activity of the office. Anu also helped with the identification of an independent data base service provider and trained the member of the ombuds team responsible for keeping track of the ombuds cases and work according to best international practice.
Overall, Anu is an impressive consultant who enables the client to skill up and learn very fast and very thoroughly and the team she trained reached developmental milestones without even them realizing…”
