The family Rodrigues de Araújo descends from three children of Charlemagne  whose descendants intermarried and the families united: Emperor Louis I, Pepin I King of Italy and Bertha. Given the extension of the family tree, several charts are presented:

This chart shows the descent of the three sons of Charlemagne from whom the family Rodrigues de Araújo descends. One can verify that the grandson of Emperor Louis I (Emperor Louis II) married the granddaughter of his brother King Pepine I of Italy (Ermengarda di Spoletto), uniting the families. The term (Duplicated) in the chart signifies this unity through marriage.
