Nanobiotechnology

Currently, I am working at the Department of Microbiology and Cornell Nanotechnology Facility from Cornell University in in vitro protein polymerization of curli proteins

from different mutants from Escherichia coli.

In our research group we are starting up some research project dealing with metal nanoparticles (MNPs) as antimicrobial compounds against both gram positive and

negative batcteria from different genera, such as, E.coli, S.aureus, B. subtilis, among others. These MNPs are coated with synthetic peptides, lectins and antibiotics

to increase antimicrobial activity of MNPs.
