To provide exceptionally high quality academic, professional, and social programming that serves to foster a sense of community and a vibrant intellectual atmosphere among the graduate students of the Department of Political Science, Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy, University at Albany, State University of New York.

Organizational Objectives

1. Develop, implement, and manage academic, professional, and social programming that will become the norm and serves to foster a sense of community and a vibrant intellectual atmosphere for the graduate students of the department.

2. Serve as the conduit between the graduate student community and the Department on public/academic/policy matters, as well as the students’ ombudsperson.

3. Plan and execute the annual Institutions & Societies: A Graduate Conference.

4. Plan and execute Peer Mentor Program (PMP) for incoming PhD and M.A. cohorts.

5. Plan and execute professional development related events relevant to the graduate community.

6. Plan and execute academic related events relevant to the graduate community.
