1969 Just South Of Rocklyn purchased by the Tom Thomson Memorial Gallery for its permanent collection.

1970 Honourable mention for portrait of Harold Miller in annual juried art show at the Tom Thomson Memorial Gallery.

1973 Honourable mention in annual juried show for portrait of Cyril, Tom Thomson Memorial Gallery.

1974 Honourable mention and two popular awards for portrait of Mrs. Smith. Purchased by TTMG for its permanent collection.

1978 Honourable mention for Harold's Auction at the annual juried art show, Tom Thomson Memorial Gallery.

1979 Watercolour, Fisher Farm, presented to Princess Anne in Owen Sound as a gift from the Forestry Battalion.

1983 "Robert G. Kemp's paintings and drawings of rural Ontario : a 25-year retrospective of the artist's works" is published by the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts.
