About our Village Hall

Roade Village Hall was built in 1974. Originally it was of a prefabricated design, but in 1995 it was rebuilt to the super design and style it is today, and in 2016 the function room was extended with the aid of a grant from South Northamptonshire Council.

The Main Hall, which is 17m long by 9m wide up to the raised stage area is, like all parts of the Village Hall, fully heated, and there are full toilet facilities including disabled. There are some 130 high quality comfortable padded chairs for concerts etc and around 70 "every day" chairs for short-term use.

The stage in the Main Hall is 4.7m wide by 3.1m deep with curtains and spotlights and several power sockets, and is ideal for concerts.

There is a large kitchen as part of the Main Hall which is 5m by 4m and is well equipped with gas cooker, refrigerator and sinks etc. plus an assortment of crockery.

To the side of the main Hall is an Annexe, which is 11.5m x 3.4m. It has many power points, and can be separated from the main hall if required.

There are also two Function Rooms, the larger of which is 9.7m by 7.1m and has its own small tea making area. The smaller one is 6.4m x 7.1m. These rooms are ideal for the smaller private function or meeting. The partition wall between the two rooms can be opened to form a single, large function room, ideal for larger meetings.

Outside the Function Rooms is a small gated shrubbery with grassed area which is used by RASCals pre-school.

To the rear of the Hall there is a playing field on which one can walk or kick a ball about, or simply sit and enjoy the Roade countryside, and there is also a small Children’s Play area with swings, climbing frame and slide etc.

There is a large car park for about 60 cars, and 3 Astroturf Tennis Courts with Tennis Pavilion and changing rooms.
