About the courseThe course Research methodology 2 is designed to cover the bio-statistics and scientific communication. This includes hands on training in R / SPSS. It is a 4 credit course. It is offered for PhD and MD students.
Course Syllabus
Unit 1. Methods of Comparing means (20hours)
· One sample t test,
· Paired samples t test,
· Independent samples t – test
· Theory of each test, assumptions, running the test in R/ SPSS, writing the results
· Introduction to R / SPSS
· Post hoc power analysis using G power
Unit 2. Regression Analysis (10 hours)

Unit 3. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) (10 hours)
One-Way ANOVA
Two way ANOVA
Repeated-Measures ANOVA
Introduction to ANCOVA
Unit 4. Chi-Square tests (10 hours)
Chi-Square test of Goodness-of-Fit
Chi-Square Test of Independence
Unit 5. Non Parametric Tests (10 hours)
