Lab Information: Labs begin the week of January 23, 2012 and meet in 528 Kell Hall. A copy of the lab syllabus as well as additional information is available on the Website.
Course Description: Astronomy of the Solar System. Class will cover basic history of astronomy, early and modern observational techniques, the fundamentals of planetary motion and gravitation, formation of the solar system, and an overview of the objects that comprise the solar system. In light of recent discoveries, the current state of our knowledge of extra-solar planetary systems will also be touched upon.
