Online tutorials are supported with an electronic classroom tool called OULive.
To join the tutorial session log-on to the course Web site and follow these instructions:
1. On the MS221 course Web site locate and click on the Online Tutorial link found on the righthand side of the screen.
2. If it is not already selected chose the appropriate tutor group from the drop-down list. The correct group is shown on the right.
3. To access OULive click on the Join Meeting link.
4. OULIve requires a small file to be loaded on to your computer system. Accept this and any further messages about running this file on your computer.
After awhile you will be taken into the OULive system
5. OULive uses the speaker and microphone of your computer to communicate with the tutor. (You may also wish to use a headphone/microphone headset.) so you will need to run the audio set by following the instructions in the adjacent box.
Other OULive features will be covered at the first tutorial.
6. Finally, things can/may/might go wrong so try the set-up before the tutorial to ensure that there are no problems and always enter the OULive tutorial about 10 minutes before the start time.
[OULive is a Web application written in a a programming language called Java. The file required to run OULive on your computer is a small harmless piece of code :)]
Always have with you:
