About Us

Bride: RITA PRATAPSINH SAMPATRita is Krishna's wife-to-be. She is an artist and designer. She is a Junior Architect at LivingHomes and is working towards her Architecture license. She enjoys organic gardening, painting to music, woodworking with her brother, cooking, caring for the environment, and of course, keeping Krishna sane. She also has enormous eyes (not seen in photo).

Groom: KRISHNA SHRINIVAS NAYAKKrishna is Rita's husband-to-be. He is a scientist/engineer, who has his dream job, as a Professor of Electrical Engineering at USC. He teaches and does research related to magnetic resonance imaging. He enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, playing basketball, eating good food, listening to music, dancing, and of course, keeping Rita sane. He also sweats more than average (as seen in photo). How We Met:

We met in 2006 on the Internet. Really! Rita was living in Long Beach and working at an architecture firm in Irvine, CA. Krishna was in Culver City and working at USC building his research group. Krishna had been using MySpace for a few years to learn about new music and events in LA. Rita wanted to find some new and local music to Southern California, so she also went online and started searching for bands she liked on other users profiles. Instead, she found Krishna! Krishna also loved music and had posted stuff about the same bands Rita was searching for. Rita clicked on his profile, found him to be interesting and funny, and then she quickly closed the window. A month or so later, she went online and sent him a message about his music. Messages began back and forth and eventually, the two decided to meet. The first date was in Los Angeles and the rest is history.
