About IIP & RISER

Razak Institution of Skills, Education and Research (RISER) - a registered charity in India, in pursuit of its objectives of skill development, education and research, establishes the Institute of Intellectual Property (IIP).

This is not-for-profit initiative dedicated for the purpose of educating society with intellectual property and its importance in the development of knowledge based economy.

Intellectual property plays a substantial role in our economy for its growth is an indicator of development. It is very important that we educate our generation with several domains of intellectual property such as copyrights, trademarks, patents, geographical indications, industrial designs, etc.

Ignorance of law is not an excuse and so the researchers, consultants and even the academicians should learn at least a bit if not lot about the Indian laws and legislations governing their intellectual property. The RISER president institutes IIP to embark on mission to teach, advise and consult students, researchers, and industrialists alike and co-operate them professionally in matters relevant to the intellectual property laws and practice. IIP strives to reach out to Government, semi-Governmental agencies, private firms, universities, autonomous contract research organizations, legal entities, and other scientific and industrial organizations for helping them with the issues relevant to the intellectual property laws and rights.

As the first step towards this, the RISER’s IIP adopt a philanthropic approach and offer students 25% discount on its courses (including the preparatory course for the Government’s Patent Agent Examination).
