Congrats to John Bevans, 2017 Riggs Open champion!
He shoots a final round 81 to finish at -7 net, giving him his second Riggs Open title (2007)!
Gary Nagle (-4) and Mike Winge (-4) tied for 2nd, followed by Chad Conzet (-3) and Mark Patterson (-3) tied for fourth.
Patterson came within one stroke (gross scores of 74-73 =147) of the RO record for gross score (146, by Craig Steen in 1990).
Nice work, Bev!

The Riggs Open began in 1983 as a birthday party/golf tournament for Scott & Brent Riggs.  The tradition-rich event has changed a little bit since then.  It is now a two-day event featuring 36 holes of championship golf.  The tournament is now played at some of the top public golf courses: Bunker Hills (1993 & 2002), Stonebrooke (1994, 1997, 2001, 2012), The Links at Northfork (1995, 1996, 1999, 2006, & 2010), Rush Creek (2004), Breezy Point Resort (2003 & 2008), Legends (2011), & Willinger's (2013).
