I am a tenure-track assistant professor (RTDB) at the University of Padova, Department of Economics and Management.
I hold my Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from the Graduate School in Economics and Management, a joint Ph.D. program between the University of Padova, University of Venezia and the University of Verona. The title of my thesis is "Auction and Contract Design in Public Procurement: Theoretical and Empirical Investigations"; Thesis advisor Prof. Paola Valbonesi (University of Padova); co-supervisor Prof. Alessandro Bucciol (University of Verona); thesis committee: Prof. Stephane Saussier (University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne), Prof. Massimiliano Bratti (University of Milano) and Prof. Angelo Zago (University of Verona).

My research interests are related to the study of regulations, performance, and challenges of public procurement and public-private partnerships, a topic at the crossroads of Industrial Organization, Political Economy, and Public Economics. I am an applied economist, fitting empirical and experimental microdata to econometric and structural models.
I have a second research interest in Applied Environmental Economics, with a focus on building energy efficiency, energy poverty, and electricity market auctions.
