Riccardo Camboni

I am a tenure-track assistant professor (RTDB) at the University of Padova, Department of Economics and Management.

I hold my Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from the Graduate School in Economics and Management, a joint Ph.D. program between the University of Padova, University of Venezia and the University of Verona. The title of my thesis is "Auction and Contract Design in Public Procurement: Theoretical and Empirical Investigations"; Thesis advisor Prof. Paola Valbonesi (University of Padova); co-supervisor Prof. Alessandro Bucciol (University of Verona); thesis committee: Prof. Stephane Saussier (University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne), Prof. Massimiliano Bratti (University of Milano) and Prof. Angelo Zago (University of Verona).

I was awarded the Unicredit "Fondo Gianesini" research grant (25.000€) immediately after the completition of my Ph.D., which allowed me to work as a visiting post-doc at University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, EPPP Chaire Research Center on public-private partnership and public procurement.

During my Ph.D. I spent an internship at the Italian Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC).

My research interests are related with the study of regulations, performances and problems of public procurement and public-private partnerships. More in detail:

I am also interested in energy economics, in particular applied to the housing sector and to the study of affordability, fuel poverty and the circular economy.
