Mission Statement

Ribbons of Hope Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

Who Are We?

We are Ribbons of Hope Foundation. We are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. The foundation is organized to provide financial assistance and support to families in Talladega and St. Clair County who are burdened by the staggering cost of cancer treatment, and to increase integration and coordination of quality services in cancer prevention, detection, treatment, survivorship, palliative care, and hospice services in Alabama.

Who Makes Up Ribbons of Hope Foundation?

Ribbons of Hope Foundation is governed by the Executive Board of Directors:

Patricia Hogge - President

Amanda Haynes - Vice President

Mitzi Smith - Secretary

Lisa Walton - Treasurer

A Board of Directors consisting of community and business leaders that will bring a number of combined years of experience to help move us forward. The Board of Directors will meet quarterly.

A committee of individuals working with the Executive Board of Directors to recruit teams, raise funds, and help spread our mission. Our committee will act as it's own entity and will make request of the Board of Directors as necessary. The committee will plan events and raise awareness of our mission. The committees will meet on the first Thursday of every month at 800 Shelton Shores Drive Talladega, AL.

What Do We Do?

We work with teams of volunteers, businesses, and community leaders to raise money. We then work with oncology centers, physicians, pharmacies, and through our website get applications for assistance out to those in need throughout Talladega and St. Clair County.

How Will The Money Be Allocated?

It is not our intention to hand money to individuals. We will seek every option to make contributions on behalf of applicants to respected sources. All persons needing assistance will be required to submit an application. The application will be reviewed by our Executive Board of Directors. Our Executive Board of Directors, acting with the best intentions possible for Ribbons of Hope Foundation, will process the applications accordingly.
