Our program celebrates and explores 100 years of the women's movement and women's achievement through percussion, vocals, interactive performances. Giving women a boost and a call to action that encourages personal power and expression. Each woman is an example of 'doing it right,' but may need encouragement to go a few steps beyond their current status or break the status quo regarding age, race, look, or education level. Locally and globally, women are waking up to the awareness that all things are not equal. Rhythm and Roots Players not only supports women in music and performing arts, but also helps to facilitate business plan development and professional review for women-operated or owned businesses.
