Welcome to RHS's Ecology & Biodiversity webquest regarding facilitation. By definition, facilitation is an interaction between species that is either beneficial to both, mutualism, or one benefits while the other is neither positively or negatively impacted, commensalism.
Today you are going to be delving deeper into specific types of mutualistic and commensalistic relationships via animations and short video segments. By using both the handout provided by your teacher (available to download below) and the left navigation column you will begin your journey through the complex and staggering relationships that have developed over many generations between different species.
To start, click on "A. Mutualism" to your left. Enjoy!
