Want twists around inside us

sometimes, a wire art of springs

and pokes.

Someone always has it better,

is not a moth inside a light bulb

banging to get out.

Even the devil has been known to

pluck the coal eyes from a snowman,

now and then,

jealous of the darkness it sees.
