Reza M. Namin

Hello and welcome to my personal homepage :-)

My name is Reza Montazeri Namin, CEO and Co-Founder of the Arto3D company, specializing in Optics, holography and 3D Lenticular technology.

I'm currently an undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology. I'm also doing research at medical physics lab at department of physics, with focus on physics of fluids and electrohydrodynamics. My other fields of interest include:

              • Computational Fluid Dynamics,
              • Microfluidics and nanofluidics,
              • Physics of complex systems and many body problems,
              • Experimental physics.

Below you could find my publications and honors. Please feel free to contact me regarding anything I could help with. .

News:

  • Our new paper published in the journal Microfluidics and Nanofluidics,
  • entitled "Liquid soap film generates electricity: a suspended liquid film rotating in an external electric field as an electric generator".

The paper addresses a new phenomenon in which a suspended soap film (like the ones kids make bubbles with) is placed and rotated in the presence of an external electric field and electricity is generated.

For more information, read our paper, or the pre-print version.

  • We've made a video about our research on the Floating Water Bridge.
  • I hope you'll like it.
  • Research covered in Science magazine's ScienceShot:

We are pleased that news about out recently published paper in Physical Review E has been covered in Science magazine's ScienceShot.

Read the story: ScienceShot: Why a Water Bridge Doesn't Collapse.

For more information about what we've done, read our paper.
