Celebrating the Eucharist as a Model of Spirituality: As We Act, So We Become

The Celebration of Eucharist is "the summit and source of the whole Christian life." This retreat explores the spiritual formation, which can take place through the enactment of the various parts of the celebration. The "verbs" of the rite enable us to become what the actions imply. E.g., Liturgy of the Word: listen and respond. Liturgy of the Eucharist: take, bless, break, share. Dismissal Rite: go, act.

Fr. Patrick W. Collins, Ph.D., is an outstanding author, preacher, musician and university professor. He senses that his principal vocation is to contemplative living—out of which his various ministries flow. Fr. Collins, who lives in Douglas, MI, has produced forty-five TV programs, and a number of videos, among them Thomas Merton: Man, Monk, Myth with Music, and has written numerous books and articles.
