Guidelines for Playing
All coaches are volunteers. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to help coaches keep players organized.
Games begin @ 6 pm on weekdays, and @ 1 pm on Sundays
Games are 3 innings in duration, but additional innings can be added if time/daylight permits.
There are no outs and no score keeping.
All players must wear a helmet while batting and running the bases.
A Running Batting Order is to be used (all players bat once each inning). The batting order should be rotated weekly.
Batters may hit the ball from the tee or a slow-pitched ball from the coach. Should a batter show difficulty in hitting a slow-pitched ball, a tee should be brought in and used to keep the game progressing.
Every batter/runner will advance one base per hit (except the last batter).
The last batter each inning runs all the bases.
Games cancelled/postponed due to bad weather are not rescheduled unless both teams would like to reschedule.
Practices
Practices are optional; we understand, as parents, life is crazy! Missed practices will hold no judgment on any level. We offer practices to help your child feel more comfortable and confident with the game, the coaches, the team, but most of all with themselves. Our practices plan to focus on team-building, good sportsmanship, learning the field positions, the base numbers and locations, how to throw, catch and hit a ball….but most of all to have FUN!
Games:
Players come dressed in their team shirt, hat, sneakers or cleats, and comfortable pants. Bring your glove, water bottles, and sunscreen. Arrive on time.
Food Allergies or No-Nos:
Please let us know if your child has any food allergies or foods they cannot have for other reasons. We do not want to offend anyone if snacks are offered after a game or practice.
