About Us

Pack 1170 is based in Reston, Virginia in the Powhatan District NCA Council, and chartered through Dranesville United Methodist Church.

We serve the community of children from Aldrin and Forest Edge Elementary Schools and any other children local to these schools. The Pack does a number of community service projects as well as a food drive each year and also maintains a stretch of Wiehle Avenue just north of Baron Cameron Ave.

Cub Scouts are for boys and girls in 1^st – 5^th Grades

- 1st graders join Tiger Cubs

- 2nd graders join a Wolf Den

- 3rd graders join a Bear Den (attend Goshen when entering 4th grade)

- 4th graders join the Webelos (attend Goshen when entering 5th grade)

- 5th graders join the Webelos - Arrow of Light and bridge to Boy Scouts.
