Smart farming and plant communication
Research in smart farming and plant communication aims to develop technologies that improve agricultural efficiency and sustainability. This includes the use of sensors, automation, and communication networks to enable real-time monitoring and control of farming systems.
Key research areas include the application of IoT in agriculture, precision farming, plant monitoring and diagnostics, automated irrigation and nutrient management, as well as robotics and automation. In parallel, plant communication studies focus on how plants interact with each other and respond to their environment, including plant signaling and plant–environment interactions.
Data analytics also plays an important role by supporting decision-making and optimizing farm management practices. Together, these approaches contribute to the development of smarter, more sustainable, and highly productive agricultural systems.
