Red Cliffs Lodge, near Moab, Utah
With its dramatic views of towering canyon walls above a slow-flowing bend of the Colorado River, Red Cliffs Lodge will provide our retreat participants with cozy accommodations, dining areas, all meals, and meeting rooms. On the Registration form, please let us know of any mobility concerns or special dietary needs you may have so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
Your retreat fee includes 2 nights/3 days in a mini-suite, 5 meals, and 3 refreshment breaks (dinner on Thursday evening through lunch on Saturday). You may check in as early as 3 p.m. The clerk at the front desk will have your name on the guest list and your room key ready for you.
The retreat will begin with a Welcome Dinner at 6 p.m. in the Colorado Room of the Conference Center, followed by an Orientation Meeting at 7 p.m. in the same room. For information about local attractions to visit during "free time" on Friday afternoon, please consult the Prior Preparation page, which also provides instructions on how to prepare for full participation at the retreat.
Extending Your Stay
Some participants may want to arrive early or stay over the weekend to enjoy more time in the area. You may contact Red Cliffs Lodge (866-812-2002 or 435-259-2002) and reserve the same mini-suite throughout your stay. Of course, you will be personally responsible for any additional charges. The lodge will want to confirm your retreat registration with us, so please let us know in advance of your intention to extend your stay, including the date(s).
Can I bring my spouse/friend to Moab with me?
With the option available to stay in a private mini-suite at Red Cliffs Lodge, participants at previous retreats have requested to bring a family member or friend with them. We will accommodate such requests but with one very important condition:
Condition for Bringing Personal Guests
If you bring personal guests to Red Cliffs Lodge, you and they must understand that YOUR FIRST PRIORITY IS FULL PARTICIPATION IN ALL RETREAT ACTIVITIES. The other participants at the retreat will be counting on you to be fully involved in every activity, including meals. Important conversations often happen during meals and break times.
We have scheduled FREE TIME in the afternoon on Friday for participants (including their personal guests) to use however they wish, such as going on a hike, doing a little sightseeing in the area, or simply relaxing around the lodge (see the Prior Preparation page for information about local attractions).

Room Costs for Personal Guests
If you have more than two people (you and one guest) staying in your mini-suite, the Red Cliffs Lodge charges $20/night for each additional person (accompanying children under 10 years old stay free). You will need to provide a personal credit card number when you check in to cover any additional charges.
Meals for Personal Guests
All of our meals will be served by the Red Cliffs Lodge Restaurant. The cost of participants' meals is included in the retreat fee; however, if your personal guests would like to dine with the retreat group, the additional cost MUST be paid in advance. Also, please let us know in advance if you or your guests have special dietary needs (e.g., food allergies, vegetarian, etc.). We will strive to accommodate your and their needs.
If your guests would rather dine elsewhere, several restaurants are available in Moab (17 miles, 27 minutes away, according to Google Maps). Also, each mini-suite has a kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave oven for food that your guests may purchase from supermarkets in Moab.

PAYMENT for Personal Guest Meals
Your personal guest(s) will receive FIVE meals and the Friday afternoon free-time snack. The total cost is $195 for each personal guest (includes the required service fee for the catering staff).
In order to guarantee meals for your personal guest(s), you MUST confirm with the Retreat Coordinator, by email: HighroadPD@gmail.com; or phone: 435-590-6066 (if no answer, please leave a message); AND payment MUST be received ON or BEFORE Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Upon request of guest meals, you will receive an electronic invoice via email from Highroad Professional Development, LLC. The invoice includes options to pay by credit card through the Wave Financial secure online payment system, OR you can send a check or money order by mail.
