About Us

    Red Deer Prop Busters RC Club has been around for close to 25 years and is a great place to make new friends with fellow enthusiasts of the hobby,  The field is open year round (if you are brave enough to face the cold and snow!!)  to our members, and open to the public when our members are present.  We are always looking for new member and spectators to share our passion with and exchange some experiences and knowledge between friends.

    We have added 100 meters to our runway last year in an effort to better accommodate the big gassers,  the main runway is 200 meters long and 28 meters wide oriented North and South and is wide enough to permit crosswind landings with ease.  All this surrounded by farmland on the east side and  the west, giving ample space to fly multiple models at a time with no fear of getting tangled up in fences or power lines.

    Red Deer Prop Busters is a M.A.A.C. (Model Aeronautics Association of Canada) sanctioned club,  which means that when you are a M.A.A.C Member, your are insured while you fly here!  M.A.A.C. website  You must be a member of M.A.A.C. to fly at our club!!

    So come help us control the mosquito population of central Alberta in the springtime and throughout the summer, either with a propeller, helicopter blades, nitro fuel, unleaded gas, Battery powered  or just blunt force trauma from the wings,  big or small,  we fly them all!!
