Green Smoothies

Festive Punch (great for weddings and parties)

• 2 big bottles of sprite or 7-up
• 1 bag ice
• 1 cup grenadine
• 1 can frozen limeade concentrate

Mix all together in a punch bowl at least one hour ahead of time. The ice has to melt to dilute the punch

Fort Knox Punch (serves 30)

I (Betty Oliver) made this for the graduate student parties in the summer.

Also for all groups where I needed a punch.

• 1 12 oz can frozen orange juice concentrate.
• 1 12 oz. can frozen lemonade
• 1 46 oz can unsweetened pineapple juice
• 1 quart apricot nectar
• 2 cups unsweetened grapefruit juice
• 2/3 cup sugar (I never put this in)
• 1 32 oz. bottle ginger ale (I used seltzer water)
• Ice cubes ( made ice rings with orange slices in it)
• or 2 dozen chiles orange slices (optional)

Combine all ingredients except ginger ale, ice cubes and orange slices

Stir until sugar dissolves, then chill mixture.

To serve, add ginger ale, ice cubes and orange slices (my mom would put in molded ice with juice and fruit)

Orange Julius

Put ingredients in blender and blend on high

• 6 oz frozen orange juice
• 1 cup water
• 1 cup whole milk
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 10 ice cubes

Curly Grandma's Hot Wassail

Put in a large pot or slow cooker:

• 2 quarts cider
• 2 cups orange juice
• 2 1/2 cups pineapple juice
• 1/2 cup lemon juice
• sugar to taste

Tie in a bag and add:

• 20 whole cloves
• 2+ cinnamon sticks
