Dumbarton Gazette

The Dumbarton Gazette is Strathclyde's official newspaper, like the Federal Register in the United States or the London Gazette in England.

All Acts passed by the Witan must be published in the Gazette before they can take effect as law, as must all statutory instruments (Orders in Council, Proclamations and Royal Warrants).  The Gazette is admissible as evidence in court if it is shown to have been published on this website or by the Government Printer, and is conclusive evidence of the facts which it contains.

The Dumbarton Gazette is divided into two sections: Parliament (where notice is given of Acts given the Royal Assent and Acts are promulgated, and all Parliamentary Resolutions are published) and State (where all public notices, Proclamations, Royal Warrants, Orders in Council, notices of meetings of the Council of State where appointments are made, addresses to the Nation by The King, notice is given of the award of honours and awards, and other official public documents).
