The Cadet Award for Bravery is presented to a cadet who has preformed an outstanding deed of valour and bravery. In which cadet has risked their life to save the life or property of others.
The Royal Canadian Legion Cadet Medal of Excellence is presented annually to the cadet who has gone above and beyond to help serve their community. As well as participating in all mandatory corps training and 75% of optional training, this cadet also must complete 3 addition community service events outside of the cadet program. The medal recipient is selected by the Commanding Officer and the medal is presented at the Annual Ceremonial Review
The Lord Strathcona Trust Fund Medal is the top medal a cadet can receive other than the Cadet Award for Bravery. This award is presented annually to the top cadet of each corps who exemplifies all the aims of the cadet program. These include leadership, high physical fitness standards, high training proficiency and being regarded as a exemplary cadet by peers and superiors. The medal recipient is selected by the Commanding Officer and the medal is presented at the Annual Ceremonial Review.
