Hua Hin is on the East Coast of Thailand, approximately 200km south of Bangkok. It can be reached easily from Bangkok by taxi, train or bus.
If you're getting the train down, several leave daily from Bangkok Hualamphong station. Only the early morning and early evening trains have air-conditioning, so remember to check before you book. The travel typically takes 5 hours.
If you're getting the bus down, departures are every 30 minutes throughout the day, and every hour during the night. All the buses are air-conditioned and leave from New Southern bus terminal. The travel is approximately 3 hours.
