I set communications strategy for high-visibility projects, including the upcoming U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Centennial, which includes integration of communications goals, stakeholder outreach, community relations, internal project management, with overall event execution, cost estimating, resource management, and prioritization.
Under my leadership, my communication team delivered more than 60 external press releases, which each one on average reached more than 130 media outlets in fiscal year 21. These press releases told NRL’s story and mission to a general audience that reached more than 19,567 on Facebook (226% increase over previous year), 29,067 on Twitter (3.07% increase over previous year), and 48,348 via LinkedIn (28.6% increase over previous year).
Previous campaigns include coordinating events and media for Sarkis Tatigian's 75 years of federal service, which resulted in a media coverage from All Hands Magazine, a ceremony, and a Presidential letter. Additionally, I planned and coordinated the Naval Sea Systems Command's Small Business Industry Day in 2019.

Photojournalism samples of my work
As a photojournalist, I see the world through my viewfinder and wish to express the tales of my journey to others. I am drawn to subjects that make me want to understand them. Of all these subjects, people are my favorite. I enjoy photographing people from all walks of life, although, I’m partial toward the average Jane, Joe, and blue-collar person — the unsung heroes if you will. I feel every person has a unique positive quality about them, in my photography I aim to capture that essence in a single photograph. In my writing, I strive to tell these heroes’ stories in fair and accurate manner.
Wrote weekly news stories and advisories for "The Wheel," a tabloid size newspaper with a circulation of 10,500. Planned and designed specific subject-matter page layouts using editorial and design software programs.
Received multiple regional Liberty Bell media awards for photojournalism and graphic design.
I have always enjoyed creating art. It’s a hobby I can easily immerse myself in and lose all track of time. These skills have been helpful with creating strategic communication products such as posters, flyers, fact sheets and social media content.
The fine arts mediums which I’m most experienced include charcoal, gouache watercolor, and acrylic paints. Within this section, I've included attachments of my work using these mediums.
