Ray is currently an Associate Professor at California State University at Northridge and teaches finance and real estate courses. He completed his Ph.D. in Urban Development in the School of Policy, Planning, and Development at the University of Southern California. He also has an MBA in International Business from California Lutheran University and a BSBA in Finance from CSU-Northridge. His academic interests include economic development, immigration, housing, demography, real estate finance, and the environment.
Prior to seeking his Ph.D., Ray founded Charity Alliance Realty, a primarily residential real estate brokerage that works with first-time buyers/sellers and investors in residential real estate. Charity Alliance Realty donates 10 percent of revenues to local and regional charities as chosen by clients. In addition to assisting people in the purchase/sale of properties, Ray manages his own real estate portfolio and has completed small development projects.
Ray has been involved with many community non-profit organizations and has served as Land-use Chair for his neighborhood council. His other interests include photography, traveling, and environmental issues. Ray’s interest in the environment and real estate development provided him the opportunity to appear in episodes of Greenovate, a Discovery Network show about environmentally friendly home renovations.
