24th ANNUAL RAPS MEETING (RAPS 2024)

The 24th Annual RAPS Meeting (RAPS 2024) will be hosted at Durham University on 4th - 6th of September 2024.

The annual RAPS meeting aims to bring together early-career academics (within approximately 5 years of appointment), PDRAs and industrialists. We aim for this meeting to offer opportunities to present your work, develop new networks, and provide practical early-career advice from a range of experienced speakers on subjects such as generating funding, mitigating the career-related effects of the coronavirus pandemic, becoming independent, interacting with the media and building a lab.

Overall, the meeting is a great opportunity for early-career researchers to start their network of collaborators.

Programme and Abstract Submission

There will be contributed oral and poster presentations (with sponsored prizes), and we aim to allow the majority of attendees to present their work. There will be presentations from leading industrialists, academics and publishers and various networking opportunities to establish collaborations and discuss the challenges of collaborative working and publishing.

Registration fees

The standard registration fee is £230, which coves two nights of accommodation, breakfast and evening meals on Wednesday and Thursday, and lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. For those who do not need accommodation, a reduced registration fee of £130 can be chosen.
