This webpage is dedicated to the cours "Linear Control Systems" (SYST003) given at the University of Liège during the academic year 2014-2015.
The lectures and exercises take place in the lecture hall R3, in the Montefiore Institute (B28), every Friday afternoon, from 13:30 to 17:30 (2 hours lecture followed by 2 hours exercises).
The course follows the book Feedback Systems by Karl J. Åström and Richard M. Murray, Princeton University Press 2008, ISBN: 9780691135762, freely available on the page http://www.cds.caltech.edu/~murray/amwiki/index.php/Main_Page

The material presented in these slides has been partly taken from the above mentioned book, and material from Glenn Vinnicombe course at Cambridge.
- Lecture 1 - Modeling for control
- Lecture 5 - Frequency domain analysis
- Lecture 7 - Frequency domain design
- Lecture 8 - Performance specifications
- Lecture 9 - Robust performances
- Session 5 + Matlab file
The laboratories are mandatory. Groups of three students will use Quanser's "DC Motor Control Trainer" (www.quanser.com). Please download and read the following documents (in particular, do not forget to print and bring the Chapter 4 of the Lab manual for the exercise session of this Friday, November 28th).
- To be done before and during the lab session
- Lab manual (in particular, it will be more convenient if you print chapters 1-4 for the lab session - note that chapter 4 should also be brought for the exercise session of this Friday, November 28th)
- Summary for plotting Bode diagrams
