Fandom Letter

Dear Creator

Thank you for reading this, I appreciate you taking the time to get to know my likes and dislikes. Hopefully this will make things a bit easier for you.

Below you will find a section for the things I love, and another for the things I cannot go near, specifically, these are things that will traumatise me if I read them, so please read that section carefully and avoid all subject matter, thank you.

I will add pictures where needed, to clarify. Other than that, have fun, and much gratitude for your kindness and generosity.

General Dislikes & DNWs:

First person POV, rape/non-con/dub-con/rough sex, anything non-consensual at all, oral sex, sexual kinks of any kind (I would rather read whump than porn), jealousy, betrayal, unfaithfulness, unhappy endings, dark fic, massive angst, emotional pain/breakdown, graphic physical or emotional torture, brainwashing, humiliation, unrequested ships, deathfic (unless immediately rescucitated)...tbh I’m just not into reading sex or smut, I prefer hurt/comfort.

I also have a werewolf phobia so if we could avoid that subject as well, thank you.

General Likes & Wants:

Third person POV, fluffy schmoopy whumpy  hurt/comfort, wounded vulnerable heroes being carried in someone's arms, happy endings, soulmates/soul-bonding (eg like the Stargate SG1 Kor'mak bracelets but permanent), married by mistake/accident/drunken stupidity/"oops what the hell just happened and divorce is not an option”, team-as-family or created family, slice of life/domesticity, cuddling, full-body holding (general comforting or during nightmares), angsty fluff/schmoop, near-deaths causing realisations of love, hospital bed vigils, sharing of hospital beds, protective!Ladies (the lady saves the man and protects him), "mansel in distress", relationship tropes (marriage of convenience, matchmaking, pretend relationships that become real, going undercover as a couple, etc), epic road trips with people trapped in a confined space (winnebago, plane, mini-van, spaceship) having to get along without killing each other until they reach their destination, us-against-the-world, protectiveness, disaster scenarios (big red reset button plots where everyone looks like they die or sacrifice themselves to save the world but with happy fix-it endings), Harlequin AU's of the "bodyguard"/“witness protection" type, disaster movie plots (earthquake, storm, snowstorm, hurricane, trapped in the middle of a bank robbery, volcanic eruptions, pandemics, apocalypse, post-apocalypse, etc). Bro-Ships. Missing scenes.

I absolutely LOVE "The Epic Man-Carry":

My favourite thing of all is physical hurt/comfort. I'm not really into emotional whump unless it’s part of the physical whump, emotional doesn't really do it for me, not compared to physical whumping and injuring.

Just give me broken bones, temporary or permanent deafness/blindness, unable to speak/mute from either injury or illness, severe concussions/nausea, fainting or collapsing (illness or injury related), broken ribs, stabbings, punctured or collapsed lung (unable to breathe), hit by a car, fever (stripped and put in cold water), hypothermia (cuddling for warmth), gunshot wound, electrocution, asthmatic, panic attacks, epilepsy or seizures, facial brusing (black eye, bloody nose, etc), near death from almost drowning or being trapped somewhere airless with someone else having to breathe for them or sharing oxygen...injury suggestions are always welcome!

I also have a particular weakness for any hero who loses a limb...

Winter Soldier from MCU

Daniel Jackson from Stargate Continuum

Ezra from Prospect

John Kennex from Almost Human
