Our lab is dedicated to developing novel methods for drug discovery, working at the interface of chemistry and biology.
Our lab is dedicated to developing novel methods for drug discovery, working at the interface of chemistry and biology. Our key focus areas include:
Late-stage modification of covalent inhibitors/drugs
Development of novel covalent inhibitors for protein targets in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
Design new electrophilic warheads to enhance the potency and selectivity of covalent inhibitors.
Novel chemistry techniques for chemical biology applications, such as proteomics, activity-based protein profiling (ABPP), turn-on fluorescent probes, prodrugs, cellular labeling with small molecule probes, live cell imaging, protein degradation kinetics, high-throughput screening assay development, and covalent docking.
Development of novel small molecule degraders, including molecular glues and PROTACs.
Organic Synthesis: Organo-catalysis, Iodine catalysis, and enantioselective total synthesis of natural products.
