Teaching Philosophy

My endeavor is to introduce students to the basics of Engineering. I place great importance on the understanding of fundamentals as they form essential building blocks for later learning and for sustaining interest in the advanced concepts.

My teaching strategy doesn't have any set pattern, i.e., sometimes it is circumstantial. I try to strike a balance between theory and practice and relate theory to real world examples. I try to bring out significance of a theoretical procedure with real world implications and explain its significance from a practical aspect. My endeavor is to identify strengths of my students and help them augment it. With the limitation of class size, my intention is to actively engage the class for maximizing learning through a two-way interaction.

In a nutshell, my teaching philosophy is to introduce students to the need of life-long learning and its importance in discharging their professional and ethical responsibilities.
