ধ্যায়তো বিষয়বান্ পুংসঃ সঙ্গস্তেষুপজায়তে।সঙ্গাৎ সংজায়তে কামঃ কামাৎ ক্রোধোহভিজায়তে ||২:৬২||ক্রোধাদ্ভবতি সম্মোহঃ সম্মোহাৎ স্মৃতিবিভ্রমঃ।স্মৃতি ভ্রংশাদ্বুদ্ধিনাশো বুদ্ধিনাশাৎ প্রণশ্যতি ||২:৬৩||

(ইন্দ্রিয়ের) বিষয়ে ধ্যান করিতে করিতে তাহাতে আসক্তি জন্মে। আসক্তি হইতে কামনা জন্মে, কামনা হইতে ক্রোধ জন্মে। ক্রোধ হইতে সম্মোহ হয়, সম্মোহ হইতে স্মৃতিভ্রংশ, স্মৃতিভ্রংশ হইতে বুদ্ধিনাশ, বুদ্ধিনাশ হইতে বিনাশ ঘটে।From anger comes delusion; from delusion the loss of memory; from loss of memory the destruction of discrimination; from the destruction of discrimination he perishes

ध्यायतो विषयान्पुंसः संगस्तेषूपजायते ।संगात्संजायते कामः कामात्क्रोधोऽभिजायते ॥२:६२क्रोधाद्भवति सम्मोहः सम्मोहात्स्मृतिविभ्रमः।स्मृतिभ्रंशाद् बुद्धिनाशो बुद्धिनाशात्प्रणश्यति॥ २:६३॥

क्रोध से अत्यन्त मूढ़ भाव उत्पन्न हो जाता है, मूढ़ भाव से स्मृति में भ्रम हो जाता है, स्मृति में भ्रम हो जाने से बुद्धि अर्थात ज्ञानशक्ति का नाश हो जाता है और बुद्धि का नाश हो जाने से यह पुरुष अपनी स्थिति से गिर जाता है॥
