Pseudopolis City Watch

Sergent Jared Cofflin

Seargent Cofflin is a stickler for protocol with a real dedication to paperwork. He is absolutely irreplaceable in the day to day function of the Watch and one of Captain Jo's favorite men when it comes to getting things done in the Watch House.

Sergent Frank Dayside

The oldest current member of the Watch, Frank is a rather overweight, out of shape, lazy Watchman. He does whatever he can to avoid as much work as possible, and is not one of the most intelligent members of the Watch. He is reliable however, and has a good instinct for staying out of trouble in the streets. When paired with Mouse, the two seem rather inefficient, but have a knack for stumbling into plots whether they realize it or not.

Corporal Big Jim

Initially he worked as a bouncer in the Red Rooster where he did his job well due to his enormous size. He really is a rather gentle soul however, and when the Watch went around recruiting, Big Jim decided he'd much rather help people in the Watch than hurt them as a bouncer. Most people don't accuse him of being very smart, however is devout, loyal, and methodical.

When not on duty, he often takes in small animals in need to nurture back to health, and can frequently be seen carrying them around the Watch House in his pockets or asleep in his desk drawers.

Captain Jeryn Houndlocke

Initially trained as a knight in Drakhaelm, but when his friend, Neville Longmoore, decided his skills would be better used as a Watchman in Pseudopolis when Captain Jo went recruiting, he followed.

Corporal Kile Lakemourn

Initially trained as a knight in Drakhaelm, but when his friend, Neville Longmoore, decided his skills would be better used as a Watchman in Pseudopolis when Captain Jo went recruiting, he followed.

Captain Neville Longmoore

Neville is the nephew of the famous and well respected George Brightmoore, and does his family proud. He completed his knight training in Drakhaelm, and exceeded in every task he was put to, however he was discontent with the prospect of becoming just another knight among scores of others. He felt as if there must be some other better way he could serve others and make a difference.

When Captain Jo, desperate for recruits, made her way to Stronghold looking for trained men, Neville heard of the dire straights Pseudopolis had found itself in, and knew immediately that this was a place where he could really put his talents to use; a place that truly needed his help. Making his decision, and with his uncle's blessing, he contacted a few of his friends from training, and the four of them made their way to Pseudopolis where they were immediately promoted due to their experience, and Neville was placed in charge of the Second Watch House.

Sergeant Mouse

Mouse is one of the oldest members of the Watch, and is known for his penchant of avoiding actual work, as well as for the tendency for things to go missing around him. There's nothing spiteful about it however, and all one usually needs to do is ask him about it for the missing item to be returned. He's a real expert when it comes to the shady side of Pseudopolis, and happens to know just about everyone in the city. He also has no scruples about doing whatever it takes to get a job done.

Corporal Norren Oakwyrm

Initially trained as a knight in Drakhaelm, but when his friend, Neville Longmoore, decided his skills would be better used as a Watchman in Pseudopolis when Captain Jo went recruiting, he followed.

Officer Ratcliffe

Ratcliffe is one of the enlightened rats directly descended from Rat Mother of Talara. As such, he benefits from superior size and health, as well as a far superior intellect. It was while investigating an issue of diseased rats plaguing the city that the group found him, and having seen the intelligence of some of the rats Caspian had as companions and messengers, decided to take the chance and tap him for aid, deputizing him in the process.

Shortly after Bang placed a permanent enchantment on him allowing him to speak, and Officer Ratcliffe soon became an incredibly helpful, if rather unorthodox member of the Watch with his own uniform and quarters set up to share with Captain Jo. He became especially devout as he already had an ingrained and devout sense of honor and justice, and absorbed every word in Jo's copy of the Knight's Code of Chivalry.

Under his initiative, Ratcliffe soon had an entire unit of other enlightened rats serving under him in a very special unit of the Watch, and because of his deeds and dedication, he and the other rats of Pseudopolis were granted full rights and citizenship in Pseudopolis.

Constable Alexander Riven

A rouge alchemist, he was a young man oft abused an ignored by his master. Driven by a need to be recognized for his true genius and hailed as a hero, he concocted a plague for Pseudopolis in the hopes of making a few people sick, and coming in as a hero with the cure. Unfortunately he was found by the Drow and Black Knights working to bring down the city, and was forced to make his plague ever more potent.

When the Watch tracked him down as the source of the plauge, they were able to defeat the Drow and Black Knight keeping him working, and arrested Alexander for intentionally spreading a plague through the city and murdering the few that were too weak or frail to fight it off.

Recognizing that he was a manipulated young man who made a huge mistake, a true genius in his craft, and sincerely repentant for what he'd done, the Watch decided to give him a second change and pleaded leniency and community service rather than the hangman's noose he was bound for. After helping the Watch solve an even deeper plot, and risking his own life in the process, he was given a full pardon, and now works diligently as a Watchman in good standing, and is their current expert in the field of alchemical investigation.
