Name: Gunda
Race: Half Orc
Year Born: 6 AoM
Year of Death: 42 AoM
Kingdom: The Iron Mountains
Drawn to the Iron Mountains in her teen years seeking the companionship and acceptance of the orc bloods, Gunda proved to be both strong and smart enough to claim a mate among the warriors serving under Garn within a few short years after her arrival. Her tracking and survival skills, as well as her keen intellect made her a valuable scout and she spent much of her time ranging far from the mountains on reconnaissance missions while serving under Garn.
Together with her mate Angvir, an accomplished and skilled warrior of the Iron Mountains, she gave birth to the twins Ylva and Tevega in 25 AoM. The family did not remain together long however, as her mate Angvir died shortly after while on campaign with Garn in Azura. She raised the twins in the mountains with the rest of the tribe, however once they became old enough, she picked up her old job of scouting and reconnaissance once more, taking the twins with her.
It was while on one of these extended scouting missions that Gunda died. While searching out a good camping site for the evening, she'd found what appeared to be an ideal cave that would protect them from the snowfall begun that evening and threatening to worsen, however this cave being so ideal, it was also occupied. Determined to secure the cave, she fiercely founght the grizzled old cave bear inhabiting it. Though she triumphed, it was not unscathed.
Gunda retrieved the twins who had been busy hunting for their evening meal, and in the growing dark, they were unable to see the severity of the wounds. The snow intensified that evening, trapping them in the cave for several days, and though they did the best they could to care for her, Gunda's wounds became infected, and she died from the injuries.
The twins built a pyre for her, and burned her wrapped in the skin of the cave bear she'd slain. Afterwards they took her remains back to the Iron Mountains for proper internment. Once done, and now on their own, they decided to make the journey to Kogad-zor, and eventually to meet with the others that would become the companions of the Sleeping Gods Campaign.
