Notables of Azura

Arren

Arren was a young man working as an indentured servant under a Glassworks Master in the city of Azura during The Quest for the Helm of Command Campaign. When the companions found him, they were blown away by the amazing skill, beauty, and craftsmanship of his glass pieces. This is no small feat considering Azura itself is known for its amazing glass works, and his was the best they'd ever seen.

Aghast that this young man was so restricted in his art by being an indentured servant, the companions paid off his debt and helped him to set up business of his own. Today he is the premier Glassworks Master in the city of Azura, and his work is extremely sought after the world over.


Firebrand

During The Pool of Radiance Campaign, the companions found themselves dropped into the Sea of Sands quite unprepared, but for the lucky help of a small Bedouin tribe. On their journey to Azura, they stopped to resupply water at a well known oasis known to be controlled by this young copper dragon.

When they arrived, however, all was not as it seemed. A shady character claiming to work for the dragon demanded twice the usual fee for the use of the oasis, and denied the companions the right to see the dragon. It was later found that a nasty Dragonslayer and his band had taken over the oasis, and the companions fought through the brigands above and into the caverns below, killing the Dragonslayer in the process, and found poor Firebrand chained below and subdued by flame braziers burning Dragonsbane.

The companions put out and destroyed the Dragonsbane, and freed this grateful Copper, who once more presides over his oasis providing access to travelers for a reasonable fee.


Garuun

This man frequents the city of Azura, and is the main contact between the city, and the nearby weretiger StarPaw Clan, of which Isobel Tigerstrike is daughter of the clan chief. He is the one who worked a treaty with the Emir of Azura and the Firelord to allow access through their lands in order for the campaign to launch to rid the lands of the scourge of the Rakshasa.


Mujar

This man was the leader of the Bedouin tribe that assisted the companions of The Pool of Radiance Campaign to reach the city of Azura. A very honorable man; serious, and trustworthy, he became an invaluable contact between the Emir and the remaining tribes of Bedouin still traveling the Sea of Sands.



Orion

This man was formally apart of a group of mages set to assassinate Shessa Hartshorn and stop the companions of The Pool of Radiance Campaign at any cost. Many of the higher standing mages of the Mages Guild were afraid of the power Shessa would acquire should she reach the Pool of Radiance, and of the changes already being preached and discussed.

When the cell operating in Azura was discovered however, Shessa was able to speak to the man, and explain what it was she was trying to accomplish. Things like preventing the Mage War that seemed ready to errupt at any moment, to educate mages formerly passed over as being too weak or poor to bother with, and the new theories and ideas concerning magic she was discovering based on her studies of Fundus Melevelous and her journey to the Pool thus far.

Convinced of the error they were making, Orion served time in the jails of Azura for crimes committed, however afterwards he gladly worked for the new concept of mages and their place in the world as established by the new Archmage.
