During the 1970's Pat ran a production company in Washington, D.C. with friend Tony Amadore, (it was called AMU) where many of the “songs” and funny commercials were done. The studio was in the basement of Pat's home in Falls Church, VA and had, for that time, some state of the art equipment. TEAC 3340-S, Neuman Microphones, Roland Mixer. AMU did commercials for area advertising agencies that were union (AFTRA) and could be delivered in a short time span to radio and tv station in the Washington, D.C. Market.

Some of these bits and songs were done for Pats morning show on Washington, D.C. radio and some for friends with programs in other markets. The “Truckers Tabernacle” was aired on D.C. radio and brought more letters of “complaint” than anything had ever been complained about on that station, according the General Manager Klee Dobra! The Truckers Tabernacle became a staple in Pirate Radio in the 80's and 90's. Heard by thousands and now you know where it came from! Many of these were done on a TEAC 3340-S in Murphy's own stuidio. Sadly, most of the creative skits have been lost over time, but these are the few that have survived.
