To honor Rachel and support the community she loved, Rachel's friends and family started the Rachel Lindner Leahy Memorial Fund at Guilford College. Contributions to the fund are being used to help enrich the educational experience of Guilford College English and Creative Writing majors.
Rachel graduated from Guilford College in the Spring of 2014 with a BA in English.
Purpose of the Fund:
The Rachel Lindner Leahy Memorial Fund will provide financial assistance to Guilford College English and Creative Writing majors who wish to enrich their educational experience through experiential learning opportunities. Qualifying experiential opportunities include internships, study abroad programs, conference attendance, and other activities that engage the student beyond the classroom. Awards will be granted 1-2 times per year and will range from $500 to $1000. The Guilford College English Department will manage the application process and encourage students to engage in the type of deeply educational, out-of-classroom experiences that Rachel so thoroughly enjoyed.
You can still make a gift to the Rachel Lindner Leahy Memorial Fund. There are 3 easy ways to contribute:

Under “Designation,” click on the bar "Choose your area of support." Select "continue," and then choose “Other,” which is at the bottom of the list. In the box for the name of the area, type in:

2) By Mail:
