Queer Readers welcomes 2026!
Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday 18th May 2026 at 6.30pm in the New Farm Library meeting room.
The theme for May is... "May The Fourth Be With You" (sorry!!) which is a selection books containing references to space, time travel, or otherworldly locations written by Queer authors, or featuring Queer protagonists or representation. There are multiple copies and different media styles (ebook/ audiobook) for the recommended books from the reading list in the BCC Library service:
‘Time Was’ by Ian McDonald, 2018. 143pp, 5 copies.
‘Atmosphere’ by Taylor Jenkins Reid 2025. 337pp, 99 copies.
‘Six Of Crows’ by Leigh Bardugo, 2019. 18 copies, audiobook.
·The second half of the meeting will be a general discussion and recommendation about other Queer books, films, or events happening in our community. Everyone welcome, just turn up!
