About Us

Mrs. Graham

Hi, I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California.  I lived there most of my life until I decided to attend college here in Fresno, where I met my husband.  I've been happily married 38 years now.  We have 3 children and 4 grand children.  I have been teaching for 25 years, 20 of them here at Quail Lake,  and LOVE it!  I got my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  When I'm not at work, my favorite place to be is at the beach enjoying a sunset.  This will be my last year teaching so I plan to make it great!

Mrs. Olson

Hi, I’m Christy Olson.  I am originally from the Bay Area. My parents moved us to Clovis when I was in late elementary school and I have been here ever since.  I got my diploma from Clovis High School.  After high school, I went to Fresno State where I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies, my Teaching Credential, and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I’ve taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, and currently 1st grade while at Quail Lake. I am married and have two children.  In my spare time I love to spend time with family & friends, watch my kids play sports, and read. One of my family’s favorite things to do together is travel.  We have been to five out of the seven continents so far and can't wait until we can finish it off by visiting Africa and Antarctica.

Mrs. Rehfeldt

I grew up in Exeter, California, which has become known for its pretty murals all over town. I travelled to Europe for 3 weeks after high school, interpreting for my aunt and cousin along the way. After that adventure, I earned an AA at College of the Sequoias, then transferred to CSU Fresno. I majored in French for 2 years, but my love of teaching and working with children won out and I switched my major to Liberal Studies. I earned my BA in May of 1989, and got married to my awesome husband, John, 2 months later. I earned my teaching credential at Fresno State in 1992, and my Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy in 2007.

My first year of teaching was near Fort Worth, Texas. A few years later we returned to California, where I taught 1st grade in Santa Clarita, for 7 years. We decided to move back to the Fresno area to be near family and chose to live outside of town, so we could see the mountains and enjoy the quiet countryside. I was hired at Quail Lake Charter in 2016 (still in 1st grade!), so this is my 7th year teaching here, and I love it.

Our son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter live in Oregon, and our daughter lives in Clovis. My husband passed away recently, so many things in my life are different now. I am so grateful for all the years we had together, and for our family and friends.  I love spending time with my kids as much as I can, and I still love to travel! Road trips to the National Parks have become a favorite. Some other favorite pastimes of mine are reading, working crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, hiking, and cooking.
