Rules

The Queensland Bushwalkers Club officially commenced in February 1999.

It became incorporated as Queensland Bushwalkers Club Inc. on 18/3/2004.

Objects of the Club

• To encourage all bushwalking and related outdoor recreational activities.

• To support and promote preservation and conservation of the environment.

• To provide a safe and social club atmosphere for members.

Membership

There are two classes of membership.

Ordinary Membership

• Number unlimited

• Must be 18 years or over

• Must support the objects of the Association

• Must pay the prescribed membership fee

Probationary Membership

• Number unlimited

• Must pay the prescribed membership fee

Model Rules

At the General Meeting on 3rd February 2009, Club members voted to adopt the updated Model Rules (v6) which reflect the changes made to the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 effective 15 June 2007.

The Club also has a set of Bylaws, last updated September 2017.

Financial Reporting Requirements

Queensland Bushwalkers Club Inc. is a Level 3 association for the purposes of financial reporting requirements. More information on what this means is available from the Office of Fair Trading.
