The Queensland Bushwalkers Club provides a wide range of bushwalks and socials in the Brisbane area, the south-east Queensland region and beyond.

The Club promotes bushwalking in a friendly atmosphere while fostering appreciation and conservation of the Australian wilderness.

Club Meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month starting at 7.30PM.
Our meeting place is the Little Kings Hall, on the corner of Carl and O'Keefe Streets, Buranda.
Entry is via the gate on Carl Street with parking within the grounds and in Carl Street.

To become a member you must be 18 years of age or over.

        3 July 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic Update

QBW is conducting bushwalks, events, meetings, and associated club activities in accordance with the Qld Government's Stage 3 roadmap and health directions as advised on 3 July 2020.
Please be assured that as always, the health and safety of participants in QBW activities is a high priority of the club, and will continue to be so as we hopefully move forward through the stages back to normality.

In accordance with the directions of Stage 3, the QBW Pandemic Protocol for ensuring member and general public safety is:
General Advice

QBW members are to follow Government guidelines on protecting themselves and others as per this Fed Govt webpage.
Assess whether you have a higher risk of catching COVID-19 as per this Healthdirect webpage,

QBW protocol for Stage 3 from 3 July 2020

    No member to come on a walk if unwell. (If unsure stay home.)
    No car pooling. Members may organise their own share ride with one passenger.
    Members to maintain appropriate physical distancing and practise regular and          appropriate hygiene at all times during club activities.
    Leaders of QBW activities are to ensure that participants are advised of the QBW     pandemic protocol requirements and recommendations.


Carry hand sanitiser, a face mask and disposable gloves in your First Aid Kit.
Have the current flu injection
Download the COVIDSafe app onto your smart phone.


Members will be notified of any subsequent changes to the QBW protocol at the appropriate time.
