Research

I view the main goal of my work as using behavioural insights to shed light on important and contemporaneous economic and policy problems, particularly in the area of labour markets and the provision of public goods and services.

While my research themes, methods and output do not appear to fit neatly into one category, they are motivated by two fundamental questions:

  • Why do individuals make decisions the way they do?

  • How might policies and institutions be designed to encourage them to make better decisions?

These are the questions that I reflect on daily!
