I act as a Vice-president of the Czech Economic Society. I'm also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) at the University College London, the Institute for the Study of Labour (IZA) in Bonn and the Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI) in Bratislava.
In 2015, I have been awarded the first Kateřina Šmídková’s Award for the Best Female Economist by the Czech Economic Society.

According to RePEc, I'm currently among the top 5% of Authors (as measured by Last 10 Years Publications; by No of Citations and by Wu-Index) and among thetop 300 female economists in the world.
Previously I worked as a senior researcher at the Danish Institute for Local and Governmental Research (KORA) and as an assistant professor and a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Economics and Business at the University of Aarhus. I completed my PhD degree at the same institution in February 2006. During my academic career I spent some time visiting other universities,such as Princeton University and University of Illinois at Chicago. I have hold also shorter visiting stays at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.
