Welcome to pyOsiriX.

pyOsiriX is a plugin written for the OsiriX DICOM viewer for Macintosh.  It provides a Python interface to many of the viewing functions that OsiriX provides and allows you to use many of the scientific libraries available to Python in your OsiriX workflow.  Features include:

• • A simple terminal providing real-time interaction with data displayed in OsiriX

  • The ability to install and register Python scripts using a plugin architecture

  • Numpy library to provide efficient manipulations of arrays

• Matplotlib library to provide complex data visualisation

• pyDicom for import/export of DICOM images

• A pythonpath manager for integration of user Python libraries
