Each fall our PTA brings families together to fund critical Ike needs that are not covered by BVSD. This is our only direct appeal of the year and replaces the school fees you might be asked for at other schools.
Our 2024-2025 goal is to have 80% of Ike families join the campaign to raise at least $80,000.
To reach this goal, we are asking for tax-deductible donations of $250 per student. We know this is more than some families can contribute, and some families may be able to give more. Any amount you can give will have an impact and help us reach our participation goal. We appreciate your support!

Low State Funding: Colorado ranks 37th in K-12 student funding nationally. Our school has nearly $2,000 less per student to spend on critical programs than the national average.
High Student-Teacher Ratios: Declining BVSD enrollment our student-teacher ratio is higher than ever before. Our teachers need paraeducator help to make sure they can offer differentiated learning like small reading groups, gifted & talented enrichment programs, and more.

Our proposed budget for the 2024-2025 school year is nearly $130,000. These are this year's top priorities:
Paraeducators to support differentiated learning. Without paras, teachers can't offer small reading groups, extra support for kids who need it, enrichment for kids in the gifted & talented program, and other instruction that requires individual attention. This support helps all kids get the instruction they need.
Academic support including classroom materials and professional development.
School building improvements possibly including enhancements to the 2nd grade playground.
Celebrations and fun to make our teachers feel appreciated and our kids feel connected to their community!
